Let me tell you a little story. There once was a beautiful young woman who worked in the front office of the Chief Okemos Council. She was very good at her job, but alas, she decided to leave. She announced her departure, and then she announced her pregnancy. I knew that I would not get to see the baby since she was moving to Idaho, and I was bitter.
Fast forward one year. There was a beautiful young woman who worked in the Scoutshop at the Chief Okemos Council. She was very good at her job, but alas, she decided to leave. Fast forward one year. There was a beautiful young woman who worked in the Registrar's office at the Chief Okemos Council. She was very good at her job, but alas, she decided to leave. She announced her departure (August 22nd), and then she announced her pregnancy. I knew that I would get to see this baby, because it will be mine, and I was not bitter at all.
And they all lived happily ever after.

Finally!!
It's about time! I thought that it would never happen.

My parents flew out early Friday morning and met up with all of my grandparents, in-laws, and friends for a total of 22 people to cheer me on as I walked across the stage (without falling, I might add!). Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me along the way. I needed it. And for not giving up on me, I needed that too. And for making fun of me in my cap and gown. I needed that most.Monday, April 7, 2008
